WHAT SIZE BINS ARE AVAILABLE?

2m, 3m, 4m, 6m, 10m, 12m, 15m & 20m (Cubic Metre).

WHAT SIZE BIN IS THE BEST FOR MY JOB?

From our experience we have found that the sizes often required for typical jobs are as follows:
  • Bathroom renovation – 3M to 4M cubic metres
  • Kitchen renovation – 4M cubic metres
  • Moving house (large clean up) – 4M to 6M cubic metres
  • Moving house (small clean up) – 2M to 3M cubic metres
  • Deceased estate – 6M to 20M cubic metres.
  • Excavation projects- To estimate multiply length x width x depth to get the volume excavated then multiply again by 1.3 to allow for packing inefficiency.

Note: soil tends to weight in order of 1.5 tonnes per cubic metre.

  • Demolished brickwork or concrete - To estimate multiply length x  width x depth to get the volume demolished then multiply again by 1.5 to allow for packing inefficiency.

If you are in doubt, it is often cheaper to err on the larger side as this limits the risk of needing second skip.
There are other considerations also such as the size of the area where you will put the skip and the width of the truck relative to your driveway.
Please note, these estimates are a guide only and the customer is responsible for the choice of the most appropriate skips size.

CAN I BOOK ON THE SAME DAY AS DELIVERY?

About SAME DAY services,
Unfortunately we are NOT able to book for SAME DAY delivery, pick up or swap over via the web site. This is because our office schedule the next day’s delivery’s on the previous afternoon. If you require a SAME DAY services we can organise this in most cases for you over the phone if booked before 12pm so please call Darryll on 02 49596912 and we will do our best to accommodate your needs into our schedule.

To ensure a prompt delivery of your chosen skip bin size, as close to your preferred time as possible we ask clients for 
24hrs notice, or as much time in advance as possible this will ensure a skip is set aside to meet your Delivery preferences. Deliveries are either morning or afternoon depending on delivery schedules, Out of Hours Service can be organised by Appointment ONLY.

CAN THE BIN BE DELIVERED & PICKUP or SWAPPED OVER ON THE SAME DAY?

As Above this is NOT available via the web site however if you book over the phone before 12pm this can in most cases be organised depending on schedule. However if the booking is made with 24hrs notice or more we are more likely to be able to accommodate your requests.



CAN I CHOOSE THE DELIVERY TIME?

We can NOT guarantee delivery times on same day booking. However if the booking is made with 24hrs notice or more we are more likely to be able to accommodate your requests. If you know that you will need to use the skip first thing in the morning it is highly recommended that you have it delivered on the prior day.


HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE?

Ideally 24hours notice for next day guarantee or bins can be delivered the same day if ordered prior to 12pm pending availability.

HOW LONG CAN I HIRE THE BIN FOR?

Price includes up to 7 days hire, additional charges may occur if required longer. If you need the bin picked up earlier this can be done on request - please call.

PROHIBITED MATERIALS UNABLE TO BE PUT IN THE BIN?

Batteries, Liquids, Oils, Chemicals, Paint, Gas bottles/cylinders,   empty chemical containers, other HAZERDOUS Materials, & Food Wastes are NOT permitted.


HOW HIGH CAN I LOAD OR FILL THE BIN?

In NO circumstances can a skip bin be filled above the rim. All rubbish bins and skips have a maximum height fill point which is to the height on the side wall of the bin, no higher. Skip bins MUST NOT BE Overloaded  or be filled above the rim under any circumstance as this is illegal to transport an overfilled skip and also causes unsafe transport to waste facility stations and you the customer are liable if any damage occurs from objects falling from bin in transport. Drivers are also subject to heavy fines and demerit points if caught doing so.  If a skip is overfilled you will be given the option to hire an additional skip, or to remove the excess material. If there is nobody on site when the collection occurs, the driver will, at his own discretion attempt to remove the excess material and place it in a pile as close as possible to the skip’s location. All labour costs incurred by having to remove excess rubbish will be at additional charges & will be your own responsibility.
Collection may be denied if this occurs which will incur additional costs.
In cases where the excess is not removed and the skip remains for extended periods, the customer will  become liable for additional charges including rental, labour costs and additional transport costs if it becomes necessary for us to unload the excess. See Full Terms & Conditions.

WHAT HAPPENS IF PASSERSBY OVERLOAD THE SKIP OR PUT PROHIBITED MATERIALS IN IT?

You as the customer are in possession of the skip and are responsible for what goes in it. Therefore, you will be responsible for any costs arising if anyone puts something in the skip that is not allowed or overload it AS ABOVE.

WHAT CHARGES ARE THERE IF I GO OVER MY INCLUDED WEIGHTS?

It is not often that included weights are exceeded , however if you are disposing of heavy items such as steel, bricks, tiles, dirt, tree stumps & timbers then an excess fee may be charged. This is based on the waste facility charges which are currently $25.00/100Kg (Price Subject to Change).
eg. if you go over your included weights by  200Kg then the excess charge would be $50.00.
We will bill you on a 7 day account on any excess charges and copy you on all receipts from the waste facility.

HOW CAN I SAVE ON MY BIN COSTS?

RECYCLE & SAVE – We offer Fixed Weekly rates & Inclusive Rates for selected sorted waste. We actively encourage Recycling & reducing carbon emissions for a better Environment
If you are unsure  at the time of booking if your waste can be sorted to save you money, please speak to Darryll about the savings that can be made by assisting with recycling,  it can be as simple as the way the bin is filled to save you $$$$!

DO WE RECYCLE YOUR WASTE?

We actively encourage Recycling & reducing carbon emissions for a better Environment
Where possible we encourage customers to sort & recycle their waste on placing into bins. In cases where this has not been done & is able to be sorted & recycle we aim to do this and then transfer to other recycling stations for processed.
 

WHERE CAN THE BIN BE PLACED?

We aim to place the bin where you prefer within your own property subject to space requirements & accessability for the trucks. Our trucks off load the skips from the rear, either using two parallel hoists or a hook lift system where the bed of the truck tips up and the skip is rolled off. Therefore there are limitations to where we can  get a skip into.
We take NO responsibility or liability for any damage caused to any property either from our trucks, bins or stabilising equipment, this is all the responsibility & liability of the customer.
Our Drivers will access the site on delivery and if the skip cannot be placed where preferred on the customer’s private property it will be put on the road or nature strip, this may incur additional costs for Council Permits  however different rules apply for different councils. DO I NEED A COUNCIL PERMIT?

Any bin being placed on public land or council property in Newcastle City Council region requires a council permit at a cost of $80.00 and is valid for 28 days which we organise on your behalf. This is covered by our licencing & Insurances.
All other councils bin placement requirements for public lands is in accordance with the local councils policies.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SKIP IS DUE TO BE PICK UP BUT YOUR NOT FINISHED FILLING IT?

When you hire a skip bin normal 7 Day weekly hire is included.  Unless you specify a different collection date, it will be collected on that date. If this needs to be extended 24 hours notice is required otherwise additional service & hire charges will apply. If a driver finds a skip, substantially empty, he will make attempts to have the customer contacted, but ultimately will have the discretion to remove the skip if he sees fit. If the driver is turned away on arrival, the customer will be responsible for payment of any call out fee incurred for the additional trip.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SKIP IS TURNED AWAY ON DELIVERY OR CANNOT BE PLACED?


If the skip cannot be delivered for any reason, other than BY FAULT of Clean ‘n’ Clear Skip bins or the driver, the customer will be liable for any callout fees incurred and will be entitled to either a refund of the balance, or for the balance to be credited towards the hire of a different skip.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR THE BIN?

Payment is required on or before delivery.
Pay with Cash, EFT or your choice of Credit card – VISA, MasterCard or AMEX (2% fee applies to VISA & Mastercard and 3% fee applies to AMEX),
(We accept EFT payments as long as we receive bank confirmation that the EFT has been executed prior to the day of delivery and cheque in selected circumstances by prior appointment). 

Government departments and registered charities can arrange to pay by EFT or cheque after the provision of the service by appointment

BUSINESS ACCOUNT CUSTOMERS - credit application available upon special request and need to have prior approval with full credit checks & agreement to our Trading Terms & Conditions.
